Victor Muffat-Jeandet was born in Aix-les-Bains on 5 March 1989.
Specialising in giant slalom, special slalom and combined, from an early age he showed he had what it takes to compete in top-level Alpine skiing. In 2010, aged 21, he took his first podium place in the European Cup.
By 2014 he would go on to take 11 podium places in the European competition, with 5 wins: 2 in giant slalom, 2 in slalom and one in combined.
His international competition debut was in the 2009 Alpine Ski World Cup in Kranjska Gora, and he took his first world podium in 2015, winning second place in the Wengen Super Combined. And this very village in Switzerland would prove crucial for Victor’s career: three years later, in 2018, he would win his first World Cup race in Wengen, finishing the Combined ahead of Trichicev and Fill with an extraordinary run in the slalom.
