The dream of every sportsman it to be able to win an Olympic gold. Daniela has succeeded to realize her dream.
Her story begins on the Roman hills near Frascati, and on the great passion of her parents for skiing and mountains, that pushed them “looking for snow, living as nomads in a caravan, facing adventurous experiences, like the time when we were stuck for days up on a glacier”.
To pursuit her passion, Daniela moved to Bergamo when she was 15 years old, under the care of coach Tony Morandi “the best ever met, who taught me, that before winning, you have to work hard, respect and love the mountains.” Her World Cup debut goes back to ’96, her last race was in January 2010, for a total of 197 races, three podiums (two in Super G, one in Downhill) and numerous results in the top ten.
After winning the Olympic gold in Salt Lake (USA), Daniela got Lara in 2006, who follows Daniela on board a custom motorhome, with Alessandro Colturi « husband – daddy-ski man-driver ». From 2010, Daniela is Italian Ski Instuctor, works as a journalist at the Ladies World Cup, and cooperate as Promoter for Colmar, Invicta, Blizzard and Tecnica.
