Alexis Pinturault, born in 1991, competes for the French alpine skiing team.
Right from his early years, when he had to choose between a promising career as a footballer or as a skier, it was clear that his determination was going to take him far.
In 2008 he became part of the French national skiing team, and in 2009 made his début on the World Cup circuit in Åre, Sweden.
At the end of the 2013-14 season, Pinturault finished third in the overall World Cup rankings, as well as winning a bronze medal at the Sochi 2014 Olympics. It was in the 2015-16 season, however, that he obtained his greatest triumph to date: the well-deserved Crystal Globe in the combined World Cup.
In October 2016, Alexis joined the Colmar family as a style ambassador.
